Odaily Planet Daily News According to the latest research report from semiconductor and AI infrastructure research institution SemiAnalysis, two key technology roadmaps for AI data centers have experienced significant delays, including NVIDIA's native 800V DC architecture and CPO (co-packaged optics) technology mass production progress, both later than market expectations. The report points out that the shipment time for NVIDIA's originally planned large-scale adoption of 800V DC power architecture has been postponed to 2028, rather than the previously expected market timeline. Meanwhile, CPO shipment scale in 2027 is expected to be lower than market expectations, with mass production possibly delayed to 2028-2029, mainly due to optical engine connection yield, ASIC integration difficulty, and cost factors. SemiAnalysis believes that the 400V DC solution will still begin volume production as planned in 2026, and some NPO projects may accelerate. However, the supply chains for related power supplies, switches, and optical modules relying on new platforms such as Rubin Ultra and Kyber will face delay pressure. The report maintains a relatively positive view on Amphenol, Vertiv, and Legrand, while taking a more cautious stance on companies such as Lumentum, Himax, Navitas, and Wolfspeed.
