Wu Blockchain reported that Hoodi’s block gas limit will rise to 200 million, matching Sepolia. The upgrade adds enshrined proposer-builder separation and block-level access lists.
These features allow transactions to be validated in parallel. The upgrade also changes gas pricing for creating state and accessing stored data.
Clients must be updated before activation. A mainnet date has not been set.
Chart Check: $2,500 Is the Level
On the chart, ETH is pressing into $2,500, where price has stalled several times before. A four-hour close above it would open the door to $2,600. Bulls are eyeing $3K if momentum holds.
The MACD sits at 4.51, above its signal line at negative 3.41. RSI is at 59, comfortably over 50. Support is at $2,400, and a loss of that level could send price back to $2,320–$2,350. Watch the four-hour close above $2,500 next.
Trader Ted (@TedPillows) said ETH is back above $2,450 but still looks weak. He said that until Ethereum reclaims $2,550, there is a risk of another sharp correction.

Analyst Dami-Defi said ETH broke above a descending trendline. He sees $2,410–$2,420 as key support.
His first resistance zone is $2,470–$2,490, followed by $2,535–$2,545. If price falls back below support, he expects focus to move to $2,360–$2,380.
Staking Hits a Record
A Bitwise report dated October 20 showed 43.8 million ETH staked at the end of September. That is 35.9% of total supply. Net inflows of 1.99 million ETH in Q3 drove the rise.
It was the sixth straight quarter of staking growth. Annualized staking yields slipped to 2.63% from 2.81% in the previous quarter.
Lookonchain reported that Bitmine, led by Fundstrat’s Tom Lee, staked another 159,728 ETH. The batch was worth about $390.6 million.
That lifts Bitmine’s staked total to 5.23 million ETH, valued near $12.78 billion. The figure equals 86.5% of the firm’s total ETH holdings.
Staked assets are subject to withdrawal procedures. They may not be available for trading right away.
The latest reports show ETH holding above the broken trendline. Glamsterdam is due on Hoodi on October 26 at 17:42 UTC.
