PANews July 20 news, Hyperliquid stated that HIP-4 will support permissionless deployment in a future network upgrade, first on the testnet and then on the mainnet. Similar to spot and trading token deployment, HIP-4 technology requires thorough real-world testing in a validator deployment environment before scaling to permissionless deployment. The staking requirement for HIP-4 deployers is 500,000 HYPE. If the market definition is unclear, settlement does not comply with template rules, or settlement remains unsettled for over a week, the staking requirement will be deducted via validator vote. Like HIP-3, the deployer's stake will be locked for 6 months. To unstake, the deployer must settle all markets. HIP-4 deployers will be able to set up to a 50% fee split in deployed markets. The fee configuration feature will also be rolled out as a subsequent feature. Only AQAv2 quote tokens are eligible for HIP-4. Hyperliquid emphasized that all the above specifications are preliminary and may be changed based on feedback. Once the permissionless deployment feature goes live on the testnet and the documentation is updated, an official announcement will be made.
