The Green Bay Packers held their sixth training camp practice on a glorious, sunny, 80-degree Tuesday morning. The Packers will now take Wednesday off, have a closed practice Thursday and hold their ‘Family Night’ on Friday. Here’s the good, bad and ugly from practice No. 6. THE GOOD A WELCOME MOVE: Jordan Morgan spent his first two seasons hoping to play left tackle. Now that he is, Morgan is making the most of it. Morgan has had a solid summer. And during one-on-one drills Tuesday, Morgan defeated edge rusher Lukas Van Ness all three times. “I’ve got a lot of confidence in him,” Green Bay general manager Brian Gutekunst recently said of Morgan. “Hopefully keeping him in that one spot will allow him to progress a little bit quicker.” PLAY OF THE DAY: Second-year defensive end Barryn Sorrell has had a relatively quiet start to camp. He made his presence felt Tuesday, though, intercepting a Love pass and taking it 60 yards for a pick six. Sorrell perfectly read a backside screen to running back Josh Jacobs and intercepted Love. Overall, it was probably Sorrell’s best day of the summer. “It’s a great feeling,” Sorrell said. “I don’t even know how to describe it. Definitely a great feeling anytime I can go out there and make plays, that’s what I’m out there to do. It’s fun.” Sorrell, a fourth round draft pick in 2025, played 14 games and 15.9% of the defensive snaps last season. Sorrell entered Week 18 with just seven tackles in 13 games, two quarterback hurries and no sacks. Sorrell has faded to black down the stretch, too, and was a healthy twice in December — even with fellow defensive end Micah Parsons lost for the season.
