PeckShield: Same attacker breached SingularityNET, illicitly minting 260 million AGIX and 53.838 million WMTx

Analysis
The same attacker linked by PeckShield to the Fetch.ai and NuNet incidents has now hit SingularityNET, minting 260 million AGIX and 53.838 million WMTx on Ethereum, which points to a repeated bridge or minting-authority weakness rather than an isolated exploit. The attacker's holdings of roughly $16.77 million, mostly 198.3 million AGIX plus 649 ETH, show the stolen value is concentrated in the affected tokens and remains largely unmoved so far. Because World Mobile Chain has confirmed the cross-chain bridge was exploited, the immediate focus is whether the minted WMTx and AGIX are frozen, burned, or redeemed, and how exchanges handle deposits of the affected assets. The pattern across three related projects also raises the question of whether these ecosystems share infrastructure, tooling, or key management that was compromised once and reused.

PANews reported on September 20 that, according to PeckShield monitoring, the same attacker who previously targeted Fetch.ai and NuNet has now attacked SingularityNET, resulting in the unauthorized minting of 260 million AGIX and 53.838 million WMTx on the Ethereum chain. The attacker currently holds approximately $16.77 million in crypto assets, including 198.3 million AGIX (about $14.42 million), 649 ETH (about $1.67 million), and 33.538 million WMTx (about $627,400). World Mobile Chain previously confirmed that the SingularityNET cross-chain bridge was exploited, leading to the illicit minting of WMTx on Ethereum. PeckShield stated that the same attacker previously stole 8.7 million FET (about $1.53 million) from Fetch.ai and illicitly minted 408.5 million NTX (about $462,700).
